From the October 2015 edition of the Glover Park Gazette:

One local reveler recently took the concept of “identity theft” a little too literally. Shortly after midnight on August 22, a man was smoking on the sidewalk in front of Good Guys (2311 Wisconsin Ave.) when a person accused him of being too young to smoke, according to a police report. A man ejected from Good Guys at 2311 Wisconsin in April still awaits trial for an assault outside the strip club, but the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board has determined that the club itself should not be fined or shut because of the fracas.

On April 9, patrons X* and Y* were asked to leave Good Guys after one of them touched a waitress, according to police and Alcoholic Beverage Regulation Administration reports. Y allegedly tried to force his way back in to collect his cell phone and coat, but he was refused. Two other patrons went outside to help defuse the situation, and a fight erupted between them and the men, during which X allegedly displayed a knife. The men were arrested and taken to hospitals for treatment of minor injuries; one of the other two patrons had a cut on his face but refused treatment.

On May 19, the ABC Board held a fact-finding hearing into the matter and determined that no action should be taken against the bar. An ABRA investigator found no violations of the club’s security procedures.

X has pled not guilty to charges of simple assault and possession of a prohibited weapon. A status hearing in his case is scheduled for June 18. UPDATE: X’s trial has been scheduled for September 19.
