“With great joy and much pleasure, we had supper with old friends tonight,” wrote Glover Parker Jim Tate on June 20 on the neighborhood’s Yahoo newsgroup. “Sushi Ko [2309 Wisconsin Ave.] has reopened as Sushi Keiko (pron. Sushi Ko) with [general manager] David [Zhang], [chef] Koji [Terano], and all of our old friends. Boy did we miss you.”

Sushi Ko closed last July due to tax issues. The new restaurant’s president and liquor licensee is Wei Zhang, who owns the restaurant with his sister Min. (The owners are not related to David Zhang.) According to a sign in the window, Sushi Keiko opens at 5:30 p.m. every night but Monday.

A restaurant named Sushi Keiko has leased 2309 Wisconsin Ave., the former home of Sushi Ko. On March 12, company president Wei Zhang applied for a liquor license for the new restaurant. The Sushi Keiko menu will feature a variety of Asian foods, including sushi and sashimi, small plates such as grilled baby octopus with mango sauce, and entrees including roasted Maine salmon, the application states. Sushi Ko closed its Glover Park location last summer.
