The hair salon formerly known as Lucien et Eivind (2233 Wisconsin Ave.) has been renovated and reborn as Eivind and Hans of Georgetown. Longtime owner Eivind Bjerke joined with co-owner Hans Kalset to add spa features to the salon—notably, mobile stylist stations that allow manicures and pedicures to happen while hair is being styled.

The salon, long known for its wig services for cancer patients, celebrated its new name and renovated space with a May 12 benefit reception for the Children’s National Medical Center. The event raised $43,100 for the hospital, according to the salon’s website.

Estimable beauty parlor Lucien et Eivind (2233 Wisconsin) is expanding to add a day spa as well as a separate “hair replacement salon” catering to cancer patients, says owner Eivind Bjerke. The renovations should be finished by next spring, adds Bjerke, who was the official White House hairdresser for Rosalynn Carter.
