A black fixie bicycle with bullhorn handlebars was stolen from the sidewalk in front of The Sheffield condominiums (2320 Wisconsin Ave.) one night last month. A Sheffield resident had locked the bicycle up with a steel U-Lock on the evening of February 11. By the following morning, the bike was gone. The lock “cannot be cut with bolt cutters,” the victim told police. “A grinder must have been used.”

Shoplifting

Abe walked into CVS and stole assorted cosmetics. Then he got into a black vehicle and headed southbound on Wisconsin Avenue.

May 2, 4 p.m.
2418 Wisconsin Avenue
Theft from a vehicle

Ken parked outside Rocklands and left a bag containing an IBM Think Pad and religious books in the back seat. Ken did not lock his car. When he returned to the car, he discovered that the bag, computer, and books had been stolen.

Outside 2320 Wisconsin Avenue
Assault

George was attending a party inside the condo building. As he was leaving, he and Ed got into a verbal altarcation. Then Ed punched George in the face. Two witnesses say that George lay on the ground while Ed continued to kick and punch him in the head. George was transported to George Washington University Hospital for lacerations to his nose and face. Ed was charged with assault.
