“With great joy and much pleasure, we had supper with old friends tonight,” wrote Glover Parker Jim Tate on June 20 on the neighborhood’s Yahoo newsgroup. “Sushi Ko [2309 Wisconsin Ave.] has reopened as Sushi Keiko (pron. Sushi Ko) with [general manager] David [Zhang], [chef] Koji [Terano], and all of our old friends. Boy did we miss you.”
Sushi Ko closed last July due to tax issues. The new restaurant’s president and liquor licensee is Wei Zhang, who owns the restaurant with his sister Min. (The owners are not related to David Zhang.) According to a sign in the window, Sushi Keiko opens at 5:30 p.m. every night but Monday.
