From the November 2010 edition of the Glover Park Gazette:
Gin & Tonic (2408 Wisconsin Ave.) may be fixing to grow up a bit. The bar—a favorite among DC’s preppy party crowd—will soon be renamed and remodeled to become an “upscale tavern and sports bar” featuring live Southern rock music.
Co-owner Mauricio Fraga-Rosenfeld has sold his stake in the bar to a group of four D.C. restaurateurs that includes David Chung of kstreet lounge, a popular nightclub at 13th and K streets, and Reed Landry, co-founder of the private social network Late Night Shots. G&T co-owner Fritz Brogan retained his share of the business.
Brogan says he’s “excited” about the upcoming changes: “After over two years of business, it is time for a facelift to help us remain as Glover Park’s friendly neighborhood bar.”
