From the June 2009 Glover Park Gazette:
Something we’re not going to miss: yearning for the opening of Blue Ridge at 2340 Wisconsin, in the old Busara building. The regionally-sourced restaurant—to be run by exec chef Barton Seaver, formerly of Georgetown’s Hook—was originally slated to open in January, but unexpected structural problems with the building’s interior extended the renovation. The restaurant was later expected to open in April, but it didn’t.
At press time, owner Eli Hengst told us he was doing his final staff orientation and training sessions and waiting only for the delivery of some last tabletops and bar stools before opening his doors. Though he didn’t know the exact opening date, he said it would be “absolutely, without a doubt, before June 1.”
